Newborn portraits on Baby Bump Casts

I love being challenged in my job especially when it comes to creating commissioned artwork and bringing other people's visions to life! My latest cast was possibly my most favourite project to date because my client wished for me to paint her newborn son's portrait directly onto the cast itself. The result was something so extraordinarily unique and personal, I loved it! Keep all your ideas coming folks......

New Year - New Projects

Happy New Year!!!

I have started the year with a bang with heaps of wide ranging projects. I was privileged to have been asked to illustrate a children's book, the first of many
and my first commissioned portrait of 2014 followed shortly after. We began our work with Camp Australia Vacation Care programmes and have met some very sweet little people who have all produced some outstanding artwork.
The school holiday workshops begin on Jan 20th for two weeks at Alexander Heights, Springs, Parks Bunbury and Lakes, South Lake which will include some pretty special craft projects, my favourite are the beachballs!!
Hope your year started off great too! Caroline x

Special Effects Makeup for Film and TV

I have had the privilege of being invited to work as a special effects makeup artist on a series of film projects. To date, I have contributed to two music videos and two short films and I have also been invited to work with the main cast for a feature film which begins filming next month. I am thrilled to be part of such creative projects and work with some of Australia's finest film crew. The work has ranged from creating zombies through to facial lacerations and realistic injury effects. These projects do take a while in post production but as soon as I am allowed to publish, I will add them to my new page dedicated to my special effects work which is currently under construction.

New commissions

It's been a busy few weeks here at the studio. I have been busy with several new commissions. I'm loving the requests that I am getting at the moment for the designs for some of these casts, lots of landscapes which are sentimental for the place that the babies are either conceived or born or simply where the couple were married. I'm now working on a cast featuring a castle gate in Suffolk, England which will be the first time I have ever painted a building!! Keep the requests coming, I always love to hear what I am to paint next.......
